Only God Has That Authority

I was reading through my Christian Facebook groups this morning and a particular post/discussion stopped me “dead in my tracks,” and I felt the need to share.
The long story short, these Christian group members were discussing what you should or shouldn’t be letting your children watch or do if you are Christian. The discussion was a little heated, and there was a whole lot of judgement being throw around! Needless to say, I felt pretty disturbed, okay, allot disturbed & uneasy! I felt the need to “chime in” and try to disfuse this horrible discussion, so my reply was simply this:
Honestly, I was taught that NO ONE IS PERFECT, we are all born sinners, therefore you should never judge another…THAT IS ONLY FOR GOD!
I have met many people, including “Christians,” that do an awful lot of judging.
Why is it okay to judge another because they sin, think, or live differently than you do? And why should anyone else care if they are being judged by others, because I am pretty certain God did not give them that authority!

{1 Corinthians 4:3-4}
I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me.

Well, it didn’t diffuse the discussion, but I did get quite a few supportive comments & likes.
I just wanted to remind everyone that it is okay to disagree, in fact it is quite normal, but pretending to be “more righteous” than another and belittling others as if you are not a sinner is actually a sin in itself, and is also very unproductive, disrespectful, and “unchristian-like” (not sure if that is even a word, lol?).
In ending, I will leave you with this:

{Luke 6:37-42}
“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.
Then Jesus gave the following illustration: “Can one blind person lead another? Won’t they both fall into a ditch?
Students are not greater than their teacher. But the student who is fully trained will become like the teacher. “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?
How can you think of saying, ‘Friend, let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye?
Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.

Thank you for reading this…rant over!

Have a blessed weekend…
Blessings & love,
Blessed Mama ♡
