Remembering Jesus Died & Rose Again

Remember the selfless sacrifice that Jesus made for us so long ago. He was ridiculed, beaten, mocked, betrayed, and crucified on the cross….ALL FOR US! ALWAYS be grateful that He died on the cross and rose again for OUR sins so we may live in eternity with our Lord in heaven!
Thank you Jesus for these amazing gifts of grace, mercy, eternal life, and unconditional love! ♡

When they came to a place called The Skull, they nailed him to the cross. And the criminals were also crucified—one on his right and one on his left.
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.
{Luke 23:33-34}

It was nine o’clock in the morning when they crucified him. A sign announced the charge against him. It read, “The King of the Jews.”
Two revolutionaries were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left. At noon, darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock.
{Mark 25-27}

Then at three o’clock Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?” Then Jesus uttered another loud cry and breathed his last. And the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. When the Roman officer who stood facing him saw how he had died, he exclaimed, “This man truly was the Son of God!” The officer confirmed that Jesus was dead, so Pilate told Joseph he could have the body. Joseph bought a long sheet of linen cloth.
Then he took Jesus’ body down from the cross, wrapped it in the cloth, and laid it in a tomb that had been carved out of the rock.
Then he rolled a stone in front of the entrance. Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph saw where Jesus’ body was laid.
{Mark 33-34, 37-38, 42, 45-47}

Then he took the body down from the cross and wrapped it in a long sheet of linen cloth and laid it in a new tomb that had been carved out of rock. This was done late on Friday afternoon, the day of preparation, as the Sabbath was about to begin. As his body was taken away, the women from Galilee followed and saw the tomb where his body was placed. Then they went home and prepared spices and ointments to anoint his body. But by the time they were finished the Sabbath had begun, so they rested as required by the law.
{Luke 23:53-56}

Saturday evening, when the Sabbath ended, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome went out and purchased burial spices so they could anoint Jesus’ body.

Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, they went to the tomb. But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled aside.
When they entered the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a white robe sitting on the right side.
The women were shocked, but the angel said, “Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid his body. Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died.”
{Mark 1-2, 4-7}

And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.  Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.
{Mark 15-16}

“Then some women from our group of his followers were at his tomb early this morning, and they came back with an amazing report. They said his body was missing, and they had seen angels who told them Jesus is alive!
{Luke 24:22-23}

When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
{Mark 19}

Wishing you a blessed Easter weekend filled with praise & gratitude for Jesus’s sacrifices so we may have eternal life!
