The Best is Yet to Come {Encouraging Scripture}

..Amen, great reminder for the new year!

I have compiled a list of encouraging scripture/verses to help you start your year off with God…Enjoy!

{2 Corinthians 5:17} This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

{Philippians 3:13} No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,

{Ezekiel 36:25‭-‬26} “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.

{Jeremiah 29:11‭-‬13} For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

{Isaiah 43:19} For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

{John 14:1} “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.

{Isaiah 46:4} I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.

{Psalms 37:3‭-‬5} Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord , and he will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord . Trust him, and he will help you.

{1 Peter 1:13‭-‬15‭, ‬23} So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world. So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.

{Hebrews 13:5‭-‬6} …For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”

{Psalms 55:22} Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.

{2 Samuel 22:2‭-‬3} He sang: “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my savior, the one who saves me from violence.

{John 14:27} “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

{Philippians 4:6} Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

{John 14:18} No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.

{Deuteronomy 1:30} The Lord your God is going ahead of you. He will fight for you, just as you saw him do in Egypt.

{Psalms 61:2} From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

{Psalms 143:8‭-‬10} Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you. Rescue me from my enemies, Lord ; I run to you to hide me. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.

{Ephesians 3:16‭-‬19} I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

{Romans 5:3‭-‬4} We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.

{1 Peter 1:6‭-‬7} So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

{Daniel 12:10} Many will be purified, cleansed, and refined by these trials. But the wicked will continue in their wickedness, and none of them will understand. Only those who are wise will know what it means.

{Joshua 1:9} This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

And I will leave with my favorite poem, Footprints In The Sand.

One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.
After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
“Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You’d walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me.”He whispered, “My precious child, I love you and will never leave you, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you.”

During this year, when you feel discouraged, bitter, lost, lonely, or sad, PRAY and remember that God’s got you and that this too shall pass! Always keep your faith strong & trust God!

Happy New Year!
Blessings & love always
