As the world gets more harsh, it is our duty to make the world a little softer! Not only to make the world a more bearable place, but also because God gave us a commandment to LOVE.
{2 John 1:5} I am writing to remind you, dear friends, that we should love one another. This is not a new commandment, but one we have had from the beginning.
- How can we, ourselves, be great when we stand alone?
- How can we fly with only one wing?
- How can we feel loved if we don’t love?
We, as humans, were not made to be alone. From the beginning of time (Adam & Eve), God intended for us to share our lives with others.
{Genesis 2:18} Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
United we stand, divided we fall rings so true! We must embrace each other to become great, better, best…we must really love each other and spread love & kindness just as God commanded us to do.
{Ecclesiastes 4:9-10} Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.
{Colossians 3:14} Together with these things, the most important part of your new life is to love each other. Love is what holds everything together in perfect unity.
The amazing MLK Jr once said:
Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.
This could not ring more true!
