Some say that the HOME is the center of everything, such as family, security, love, faith, togetherness, and happiness. I don’t know about you, but I always feel better knowing my house is clean! It gives me this overwhelming satisfaction knowing that I worked hard to give it a “hardy” cleaning! Thus, to make my life easier, I am always in search of new ways to help cut my cleaning times, for MYO/DYI cleaners, and household tips, tricks, and hints. Everything I post on my site, I either made up myself or tried & liked it! Please enjoy!

Remove kool-aid stains from counters or laminate: Rub Non-gel toothpaste into the stain & wipe clean with warm water.
Use kool-aid to clean your dishwasher and toilet. Pour lemon kool-aid into the toilet and let sit for a half hour, then scrub the toilet.
*Place lemon kool-aid into the soap dispenser of the dishwasher and run the dishwasher empty.
Remove water rings from anywhere: Dampen a cloth with water, add non-gel toothpaste to 1 part baking soda and rub with the grain to buff over the ring. Use a dry cloth to wipe clean and to shine.
*DO NOT USE on antiques, unfinished wood, or lacquer.
DIY Comet Clone, Heavy-Duty Scrub: Take a lemon cut in half and dip into Borax laundry booster and rub onto surface.
VERSION 2: Mix 1/4 Cup lemon juice with 1 Cup Borax and make a paste. Rub onto surface and scrub rust, lime and hard water buildup, scum, and stains.
*DO NOT USE on granite or marble surfaces.
DIY Glass/Mirror Cleaner: Mix 2 Cups of water, 1/2 Cup of white or Apple Cider Vinegar, and 1/4 Cup Rubbing Alcohol and put mixture into a spray bottle. Spray onto paper towel or soft cloth and rub on mirror or window.
*Using newspaper to wipe the cleaner off the mirror or window works beautifully.
