Everyone loves a warm, delicious bowl of chili on a cold winter's night...or any night! Make it & go...so fast & delicious! ENJOY 🙂
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 packets of Chili Seasoning (mild, medium, hot)
- 2 lbs of ground beef
- 2-15oz cans of light red kidney beans
- 2-15oz cans of dark red kidney beans
- 1-15 oz can of black beans
- 1-15oz can of chili beans in sauce
- 1/2 large yellow onion (diced)
- 1-28oz can of tomato sauce
- 1-15oz can of diced tomatoes
- 1-6oz can of tomato paste
- 1/4 tsp of pepper *optional
Directions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet on medium heat (about 15 minutes)
- Put all beans, diced onions, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, pepper, and chili seasoning into a crock pot.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Add browned ground beef to the pot.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Cook on HIGH for 2 hours, then LOW for the next 4 hours. (you may also cook on LOW for 7-8 hours)
Notes
Feel free to add spinach, diced peppers etc.. I top the bowls of chili with cheddar, sour cream, and jalapenos. Mix it up...add the toppings you like!
*HEALTHIER VERSION: Replace the ground beef with ground turkey and add 2 TBS of olive oil while browning the meat, and add 3 cups of spinach.
*VEGETARIAN VERSION: Eliminate the meat and add 2 more cans of beans, diced green/red/yellow peppers, and spinach etc...
