We love french toast, so I decided to find other ways to make varieties of french toast. Our family loves these!
Ingredients
- 8 slices of bread (wheat, white, texas toast)
- 5 eggs
- 3 TBS Milk
- 1/4 TBS vanilla extract
- 1/8 TBS Nutmeg
- 1/4 TBS Cinnamon
- 1/2 TBS Powered Sugar
- 3/4 Cup Peanut Butter
- 1 Large Banana (cut into slices)
For the stuffing
Directions
- Whisk eggs & milk together.
- Add the nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla to the eggs and milk & whip well.
- Place 2 spoonfuls (or desired amount) of Peanut Butter in the middle of the bread.
- Place 4-5 slices of banana on top of the Peanut Butter (in the middle, away from the edges).
- Place another slice of bread on top of the slice with the Peanut Butter and bananas.
- Pinch the edges of the bread together.
- Dip the stuffed slices into the egg mixture, flipping the bread over to coat both sides. (usually about 5 minutes/side)
- Place in a pan, heated on medium heat.
- Brown the bottom, then flip the toast over and brown the second side.
- Remove the french toast from the pan and add maple syrup.
- Sprinkle Powdered Sugar over the french toast.
- ENJOY!
Notes
*I also sometimes use Strawberry Cream Cheese instead of the Peanut Butter & Bananas for the filling.
