Lately, I cannot help but notice all the hate and it tears me up inside.
Earlier this month, I witnessed an argument between two women on an adoption post. The younger lady laughed at the adoption picture and commented that a fetus is not viable nor alive until they are born. The older lady stated that God knitted us together while we were in the womb, and that babies are alive at conception. The younger lady responded that people like her are stupid.
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”
{Psalm 139:13-14}
Now, I truly do not care what your political views are, or why, but having differences does not justify hate…NOT EVER!! Hate is NOT from God and you are not acting like or living as a Christian should.
The last couple of years I have seen so much hate about Trump. Whether you like Trump or not, in my opinion, God saved Trump several times for a reason, for His reason, to fulfill a purpose.
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
{Romans 8:28}
God uses people.
God uses broken people.
God uses people for His purpose.
Then yesterday morning I was reading posts in a Christian group and the hate was disheartening. All of these commenters that “claim” they are “Christian” were badmouthing the establishment of the White House Faith office. There were over 2.5K comments & most of them were horrific & hateful. Most of them condemning, judging and assuming the intentions. THESE ARE PEOPLE CLAIMING TO BE CHRISTIAN!
And here was my response to the post/commenters:
SMH…I think this may be the wrong group for many of these commenters. It says “Jesus Loves You”
“if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” {2 Chronicles 7:14}
We need to be sharing God’s love & word & are not to be shaming or judging others. This is the exact reason why so many turn from God!
Pray for them, don’t assume, condemn, nor judge…..JUST PRAY!
“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;”
{Luke 6:37}
You may be the ONLY Bible some people read.
Be a light…be love.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate only love can do that. ~MLKjr
So completely sad & disappointed to hear all the hate.
It saddens me to see all of the false & misleading information, ignorance, sinful desires, and hate. And it’s heartbreaking to think of the despair and hopelessness people must feel when they do not believe in Jesus. That they don’t believe or know that they can be redeemed and forgiven. That there is peace after death, there is hope after death, and there is a heaven where we stay for eternity.
While I am online, I do make certain to pray for the hate, the lost, the hurting, the angry, and the ignorant. Every time I see something that hurts my heart, I stop and say a quick pray for that person or situation.
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.”
{Ephesians 6:11}
We should all be more understanding to the fact that there is a enormous spiritual war going on in this world. Satan is trying to win as many souls as he can before God wins. And God does win!!!!
We should not be blind to the fact that an immense amount of people will be going to hell for eternity. They could be your family, your friends, your co-worker, your boss, your children’s teachers, someone at church, etc. As believers, it is our job to win as many souls as we possibly can so they many be saved and spend eternity in heaven. The only way to do that is by loving! Love hard, love boldly, love unashamed, love with grace, love with understanding, love with forgiveness, and love by praying…JUST LOVE!
“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
{1 Corinthians 13:13}
Satan is the author of chaos, confusion, and hate, NOT GOD! We need to fight! We need to step in and try to lead others to Jesus. We need to help them fight against Satan’s schemes. We need to show them Jesus by showing them love.
