I love to get up a little early & read my Bible Study while drinking my coffee. It’s a perfect time to reflect & be with God before the chaos & noise of the day ensues. And not to mention the best way to start the day. My Bible Study reading was wonderful this morning. Also, I must add, it is very fitting for our current situation, so I wanted to share..
The king said, “The money and the people are both yours to do with as you see fit.”
Esther 3:11
King Xerxes, who was out of touch with reality, gave Haman, his second in command, way too much power. Leaders are appointed by God and are greatly accountable to God. It’s a mystery why God allows certain people to remain in position when they do more harm than good.
But He is God and is sovereign in His ways. Many leaders tend to be a blend of both glaring weaknesses and surprising strengths.(Aren’t we all?) And they can either surround themselves with humble, capable, God-fearing as-sociates, or pick passive-aggressive yes-men who will use their position to get their way. Its heartbreaking how many pastors and ministry leaders have hired a number-two guy who controls the narrative between the people and their leader. Morale and trust fall by the wayside as the go-between misuses his power. The leader doesn’t really want to know what’s going on and likes it that way, all while good people suffer. The results are heartbreaking. Does God see? Does He care? Absolutely. Will He do something about it? Yes. God always has His saints in the wings. He’s preparing them and, when the time is right, will use them to thwart the enemy’s plan. When it seems evil has won, it’s only because the story isn’t over yet.

FLOURISH
If you’re aware of an unjust situation, fast and pray. Ask God
to raise up someone to stand in the gap.
PRAY
Great King,
Intervene like only You can! Humble the proud, promote the humble,
and foil the enemy’s plan against the innocent. Move, O God! Amen.
Let’s unite in praying for our country & our leaders, for we need God to show up & show up BIG to heal our land!
Praying you have a blessed day…
