“If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:7‬

Although I have many joys in my life...nothing makes me feel more joyful than being God's servant & helping others...NOTHING! Ever since I can remember, I've always been drawn to helping others, or shall I say that others have been drawn to me for help! I have felt that this is my gift from God...my purpose! I even considered joining the Peace Corp after graduation, but life had other plans in store for me. Now, my family & I love to volunteer & help others & have had a strong desire to go on mission trips!

“When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:13‬ ‭

Several years ago we met the sweetest couple who are the founders of Lifeline Christian Missions. They were visiting our church to talk on the behalf of Lifeline, and we became fast friends. So, after much praying, planning, and saving, we will finally be going on our first family mission through Lifeline to the Navajo reservation in Arizona. YAY..our dream is becoming a reality! Praise the Lord...He is sooo good!

With less than a month until we head out, we've been diligently preparing for our much anticipated mission trip. Since our boys and I have not yet been to Arizona nor New Mexico, we have been eagerly planning what routes to drive & what places to visit?! *Suggestions are appreciated, please comment below.

Needless to say, with the trip planning, end of the school year preparations, my health issues, my husband's new position, and my new part-time endeavor (along with many other priorities), life has been super chaotic, but in a wonderful way!

Praise God, He has been so faithful! He is doing amazing things & we know he will continue to be faithful to finish the good work He has started in our family!

We have been beyond blessed by several people who have generously contributed financially & even more who are praying for our trip!
God has blessed us so we may bless others!
“Blessed are those who are generous, because they feed the poor.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭22:9‬

Stay tuned…we will be posting updates about our mission trip!

Your prayers for our family are greatly appreciated….Thank you!

Blessings & Love always…

To sum up our mission trip – AMAZING! The places we visited, the people we served with, the people we served…everything about our trip was a blessing! God was there & He is soooo good! This was a dream come true for me & God blessed my family & I so we could bless others, but we were also blessed by so many others in the process!

Day – by – day

May 30th – The day has finally come! We left super early in the morning. We were beyond excited to embark on our journey…

We drove all day, only stopping to stretch, gas up, and to have a picnic that I packed for us.

We stopped to gas up in the little town, Winterset, IA, were John Wayne was born. My grandfather was probably his biggest fan!

We stayed the night in a town by the KS/OH border. Today my whole body started swelling, even my face! My feet looked like porky little sausages & my legs started to hurt 🙁 I had to laugh considering I got severely sunburnt before we left & I broke out in cold sores & started peeling. If I didn’t laugh, I’d probably cry…BRING IT ON!

May 31st – We got another early start and drove through Oklahoma, the Texas panhandle, and some of New Mexico.

We ate at a delicious little Mexican restaurant, checked into a hotel in Albuquerque, and visited a few places in the area.

I also got to see my very first cactuses 😀

June 1st – We have most of the day to sight-see before getting to Winslow for our mission trip. We stopped at several places along the way. One of the places we stopped was El Malpias National Monument. We hiked & enjoyed the beauty.
