Crazy
Let’s face it, being a teen is rough stuff! It’s a time in your life where you are learning about yourself, trying to find out where you fit in, battling issues within, wanting friends, battling peer pressure, going through puberty, putting extra pressures on yourself, wanting the opposite sex to “notice” you, wanting attention, second guessing rules, morals, and values, pushing the limits of your parents…and the list goes on! Phew…that is a whole lot of stuff to deal with!
Just know that you are not alone during these times! Almost every teen battles the same issues that you are battling..and believe it or not, your grandparents, parents, aunts & uncles have went through the “teen years” as well!
So, how do you survive these “tough” years? Well, first off, it’s not always easy to ask for help or to find the right words to explain your feelings & emotions. And, unfortunately, sometimes you find out that the people who should care about you most & be there for you, are, in fact, not!
{Matthew 19:26} Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
{Jeremiah 1:7} The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you.
Secondly, it’s not always easy to turn from sin & to trust in God, but God is the ONLY ONE who will NEVER judge you, forsake you, leave you, nor betray you..God’s love is UNCONDITIONAL!
He is full of grace & mercy..God FORGIVES! {1 John 1:8-10}
He waits patiently for you to turn from your evil ways..He is UNDERSTANDING! {Romans 2:4-11}
He will search for the lost..God is FAITHFUL! (Parable of the lost sheep)
He waits for you, His child, to come back to Him…He is PATIENT! (Parable of the lost son)
I know I made it through all of my rough times in my life because of my FAITH in God! Yes, I too, am NOT perfect and do not claim to be! I still stumble, fail, sin, and test others & God, just like everyone else! But, when times have gotten tough & people have betrayed or left me..it was God who carried me through! Yep, you got it, not my family nor my friends, but in fact, God is WHO got me through & my faith is WHAT got me through! God is the ONLY one I could always count on!
In the popular poem “Footprints in the Sand,” God explains “During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.”

{Proverbs 15:20-22} Sensible children bring joy to their father; foolish children despise their mother. Foolishness brings joy to those with no sense; a sensible person stays on the right path. Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success.
{1 Timothy 4:12} Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
