I love my YouVersion Bible app…it has thousands of amazing devotionals for just about every subject & life issue! I use it daily & we even use some of the readings for homeschooling! Most, but not all links below are from the YouVersion Bible app.

{Colossians 3:5‭-‬10} So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming.  You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.

 What does this verse mean to you? Slander/gossip/dishonest, words of sin that drag us farther from God.
God wants us to speak well of others and not to share in “gossip”.
Evil talk is spread more rapidly than talk of goodness.
Why do you think this is true?
Think about how easy is it to get “sucked into” gossip & slander?
What do you do to try to avoid, end, or decrease the “ungodly” talk of others?
What can you do to spread positive talk and diminish the “trash” talk of others?
