Stuffed French Toast

We love french toast, so I decided to find other ways to make varieties of french toast. Our family loves these!

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread (wheat, white, texas toast)
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 TBS Milk
  • 1/4 TBS vanilla extract
  • 1/8 TBS Nutmeg
  • 1/4 TBS Cinnamon
  • 1/2 TBS Powered Sugar
  • For the stuffing

  • 3/4 Cup Peanut Butter
  • 1 Large Banana (cut into slices)

Directions

  1. Whisk eggs & milk together.
  2. Add the nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla to the eggs and milk & whip well.
  3. Place 2 spoonfuls (or desired amount) of Peanut Butter in the middle of the bread.
  4. Place 4-5 slices of banana on top of the Peanut Butter (in the middle, away from the edges).
  5. Place another slice of bread on top of the slice with the Peanut Butter and bananas.
  6. Pinch the edges of the bread together.
  7. Dip the stuffed slices into the egg mixture, flipping the bread over to coat both sides. (usually about 5 minutes/side)
  8. Place in a pan, heated on medium heat.
  9. Brown the bottom, then flip the toast over and brown the second side.
  10. Remove the french toast from the pan and add maple syrup.
  11. Sprinkle Powdered Sugar over the french toast.
  12. ENJOY!

Notes

*I also sometimes use Strawberry Cream Cheese instead of the Peanut Butter & Bananas for the filling.
