Think about it…How many really close friends do you truly have? I am not talking about acquaintances, but about the kind of friends that know everything about you and still love you and vice versa. True friendship is a blessing and should be treated as so.
And what if you don’t have many friends? Don’t sweat it…quality over quantity!
God’s Word offers advice on the type of friends you should have and need, and what kind of person you need to be to get & keep good friends.
You have to be a good friend to have one! Having friends is a wonderful thing…a true gift from God!
{John 15:13} There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Friendship is not always easy and it can be difficult to find true friendship! It should be a two-way road, just as any other relationship. Just as you need to be a good friend, you must have good friends as well, for friends who are draining or selfish will bring you discontent. Make sure your friends bring you closer to God, not drag you away from Him. Be sure they show you the love, care & understanding that you need & deserve, and be sure to do the same for your friends.
Remember to cherish your true friends, for they are a Gift from God!
Prayer:
Dear Lord, Please surround me with godly friends who will bring me closer to you! Help me to find friends who are loyal & caring of my needs. Please lead me to be the kind of friend that is caring, loving, forgiving, and understanding! Let me be their listening ear and shoulder to cry on when times are tough. Grant me the wisdom on what to say to help heal their wounds and grant me understanding & love! Lord, help me to recognize the friends who are not worthy of me and give the strength to let them go. And help me to recognize my true friends and to appreciate and cherish them! AMEN!
Blessings & love….
Blessed Mama
